Hi there, just wanted to tell you what a wonderful holiday we had from May 21-June 7 of this year. Our Travel Agent Tom did all the bookings for us, we chose European Jewels with Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, it was fantastic, we flew Vancouver, B.C. Canada with KLM Airlines to Amsterdam, met by a Rep. from Uniworld & taken to our ship "The River Empress" where a lovely brunch/lunch was awaiting us. The Cruise Manager Monika, Hotel Manager Jerry all the Staff were so friendly, accommodating, everything was so well organized. Our Stateroom was great the Food that was ... prepared everyday was good. We Thoroughly enjoyed all the Ports of Call, my 1st trip to Europe, Cruise the Rhine, seeing all the Castles, Germany with so many Roman Ruins, cobblestone streets, palaces, Vienna, Budapest, wow it was a Dream come true for my Husband and myself, one of the best Holidays we have taken and we love to travel. We also booked the extended days in Budapest and was amazed at our Hotel The Corinthian Royal, 5 star and it certainly was in every way, from our rooms to service to the food to the pool/spa. We have been on 3 trips with the larger ships and we could not have asked for anything better. In Budapest we also booked a Hungarian Dinner with the Gypsies, taken by coach and we also did some sightseeing. Again the guide was great and we really enjoyed this.  I also want to mention that we really enjoyed the smaller ship as you get to know your fellow passengers, the only way to travel from now on.

Every tour was so well organized with guides waiting for us, we were so surprised that between the two of us we took about 1500 photos, thanks goodness for digital cameras.

At the end of our trip we were asked to fill a survey, well what could we say we could not find one thing to complain about it was such a wonderful time for both of us. Thanks go out to all the Crew of the River Empress for being so outstanding we are now left with so many wonderful memories for Fantastic Trip along the Rhine, Main, Danube.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful 15 day cruise on the River Empress from Budapest to Amsterdam, which began on the 8th May.

The cruise was the most enjoyable holiday we have ever had.

The staff from the Captain down could not do enough to make everything run smoothly.

We would like to thank all the staff for such a pleasant trip. Could you please pass on our thanks to Captain Bot, Cruise Manager Monica and Hotel Manager Lucia.

This was a wonderful cruise, down to earth, informative and we made many new friends. The food was fantastic, the service superb, the ship was clean and the staff so very helpful and informative. My husband and I took this cruise in May 2009 to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. This was our 1st experience on a river cruise. It turned out to be the best vacation ever!! All the personnel were very professional and helpful. The food was wonderful and varied. We especially enjoyed the wine with the dinner meal. We are now signed up for the Grand France tour in April 2010. I think this could become a yearly ritual.

My husband and myself had a fantastic river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest for 2 weeks in September 2009,had the best menu on board,good wines and to compliment the whole trip ,the staff,particularly the executive chef rastislav bekes and his team were superb from breakfast to dinner,the restaurant manager lomi,hotel manager lucia and cruise manager gyongji made all things perfect. There was never a dull moment and the whole cruise time was a moment to treasure. It was like a very big happy group of friends meeting after a long time,Uniworld should be proud to have great staff who give ... such a great service to travelers to take home happy and beautiful memories and that also promotes your tour company. We have traveled in Europe for many years, but we were totally unprepared for the sheer breathtaking beauty of the cruise. The ship is luxurious, the crew friendly and helpful and very professional. My husband and I just returned from Uniworld's Budapest to Amsterdam European Jewels trip on September 15th. We had never been on a river cruise before and did not know what to expect. This trip exceeded our expectations in every category. Uniworld really knows how to wine and dine you. From the very first moment we arrived on board, our every need was met. The crew was fabulous. Even Captain Anton dances with the passengers in the lounge in the evenings. At the end of the two weeks, you feel like family. ... It was very hard to say goodbye to all our new found friends and especially the crew who had worked so hard to make this trip so special for each and everyone of us. Everything was top notch from the food and accommodations to the shore excursions and shipboard entertainment. We would highly recommend Uniworld. Kevin and I have just returned home after one of the most memorable holidays that we have experienced. From the moment we boarded River Queen, we were made to feel part of a special family. All of the ships compliment, without exception, had a cheery smile and hello no matter how many times during the day you saw them. We felt that this was genuine devotion to their caring for all passengers. Of special note Luca the Restaurant Manager and his dining room staff for their ensuring we were well fed and watered. A special thanks and a big bouquet ... to every member of the staff from the Captain down to the seamen.

As recent guests on the River Empress cruise on the 26th April from Amsterdam to Budapest. We would like to pass on some comments about the cruise.

The cruise itself was a holiday of a lifetime and was made more special by the efforts of a fantastic crew and cruise manager Markus Schindelegger. He was outstanding in knowledge of the area and went out of his way to ensure all guests had a pleasurable and informative cruise. As you can appreciate, to meet the requirements of 138 guests is a huge task, but was achieved with aplomb by an attentive ... Captain and crew.

The service on board was first class, very efficient and friendly. The range of the menu was five star.

Comments of other guests on the cruise who have traveled extensively, were that this cruise surpassed anything they have been on.
