Family-Friendly Cruises

Select summer departures of this itinerary have been earmarked as family-friendly cruises as part of our Multigenerational Family-Friendly Program. On these cruises, special onboard and onshore activities have been planned to cater to parents and grandparents traveling with young people. All onboard amenities and day-to-day itineraries on family-friendly cruises will be the same as those listed above, with the following exceptions/additions:

Onboard activities

• Children can enjoy a special menu with kid-friendly food options and complimentary soft drinks during lunch and dinner onboard.
• Partake in a cooking class onboard with the pastry chef, and have fun creating your own desserts.
• Enjoy a special ship tour with either the Captain or the Hotel Manager.

Onshore

• Catch your first glimpse of Paris from above as you enjoy a hot air balloon ride high above the "City of Light."
• Follow in Richard the Lionheart’s footsteps and enjoy a hike to Chateau Gaillard in Les Andelys, which was completed in only one year by over 6,000 workers.
• Spend a full day at the Normandy landing beaches, the site of many conflicts and battles, including the famous D-Day Invasion by the Allied forces during WWII. You’ll have a chance to walk the beaches of Arromanches, also known as Gold Beach during the D-Day landings. You’ll visit the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, the final resting place for nearly 10,000 servicemen who gave their lives during the Normandy campaign. This experience is one you and your family will always remember.
• Discover the history of time in Rouen with a visit to Gros Horloge, a 14th-century medieval clock tower—which still works to this day. Enjoy an escorted tour behind the dials led by former governor of the clock tower, Narcisse Eugene Osmont.
• In Honfleur, you’ll visit the Natura Space Museum, the city’s modern attraction which showcases the flora and butterfly life from some of the most exotic climates on earth.
