Day 1: Paris

Arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, where you will be transferred to the ship.
Before the ship departs, experience the magic of Paris with an exhilarating tethered hot air balloon ride over the city.

Day 2: Vernon (Giverny), Les Andelys

FEATURED EXCURSIONS: Monet’s Gardens and Richard the Lionheart’s Château Gaillard
Art and history unfold in the bucolic countryside with two inspiring yet vastly different places. Spend time walking through Monet’s beloved home and famous gardens with its water lily pond and Japanese bridge, the inspiration for many of his most renowned works. Then hike up to Richard the Lionheart’s Château Gaillard, the 12th-century stronghold perched high above the Seine with its extraordinary history.

Day 3: Rouen (Normandy Beaches)

FEATURED EXCURSIONS: WWII history comes to life
Normandy has been the setting for many battles over the centuries, including the D-Day invasion of WWII. Stand on historic Omaha Beach as a family as history comes to life. Continue on to the American Cemetery and Memorial honoring U.S. soldiers, where you are welcome to participate in a special remembrance ceremony that includes a wreath laying, the American national anthem and a moment of silence.

Day 4: Rouen

FEATURED EXCURSION: Venture inside a giant clock
Victor Hugo called Rouen the city with a hundred bell towers—and easily the most famous of those towers is the one rising above Notre Dame Cathedral—an inspiration for Monet. Your tour of the medieval city—also the site where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in 1431— takes you behind the scenes inside a giant 14th-century clock tower, the Gros Horloge.

Day 5: Caudebec-en-Caux (Honfleur)

FEATURED EXCURSION: Explore a miniature rainforest
Children of all ages will love NaturoSpace, an amazing garden, zoo and tropical pavilion filled with exotic free-roaming butterflies and vibrantly colored birds. It’s just like being in the middle of a rainforest!

Day 6: Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Auvers sur Oise)

FEATURED EXCURSION: The genius of Van Gogh
Follow in the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh in Auvers-sur-Oise, where he spent the last two months of his life and created a number of notable works. Hear about the troubled genius’s life and hike through the cemetery where Vincent and his beloved brother Theo are buried side by side.

Day 7: Paris

FEATURED EXCURSIONS: The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Relive Victor Hugo’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame as you step inside Quasimodo’s world at Paris’s famed Notre Dame and go in search of the leering gargoyles.

Day 8: Paris (disembark), transfer to the airport

Disembark the ship and transfer to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for your flight home.
