Danube Discovery Prague Charles Bridge

Day 1 – Prague

Arrive at Prague Václav Havel Airport, where you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 – Prague

FEATURED EXCURSION: Fairytale “City of a Hundred Spires”
From the ramparts of Prague Castle to Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with an amazing 600-year-old astronomical clock, discover the “City of a Hundred Spires” from high above Prague’s Petrin Tower and watch the changing of the guards back at the largest ancient castle in the world.

Day 3 – Prague, transfer to Nuremberg (embark)

Transfer via motorcoach to Nuremberg and embark your ship.

Day 4 – Nuremberg, cruising the Main-Danube Canal

FEATURED EXCURSIONS: Toy treasures or WWII-era landmarks
The medieval walled city of Nuremberg is home to many famous events, as well as inspiring inventions, such as toys and pocket watches. You have two choices. Either visit the Toy Museum with one of the world’s largest toy collections, or be guided to some of the many reminders of WWII.

Day 5 – Regensburg

FEATURED EXCURSIONS: Fascination BMW or 2,000 years of history
You have two choices to experience the best of Germany. Tour the state-of-the-art BMW factory, where nearly a thousand cars a day roll off the assembly line; you’ll see skilled technicians and computer-controlled robots assemble “the ultimate driving machine.” Or join a guided walk through one of Germany’s best-preserved medieval towns with 2,000 years of history.

Day 6 – Straubing, Deggendorf (Theresienthal)

FEATURED EXCURSION: A Bavarian adventure
Start your Bavarian adventure in Straubing, experiencing its Old Town filled with history, culture, fun and tradition. Enjoy biking along the river, tasting Bavarian-style hamburgers, hearing a spooky tale at the Castle of the Counts and seeing the only complete Roman armor suit ever found in Germany from more than 2,000 years ago. Later in the day, take a horse-drawn wagon ride through the Bavarian Forest, where you’ll get to visit a world-famous glass workshop to see firsthand how Bohemian crystal is made, and you can even try making it yourself.

Day 7 – Passau, Engelhartszell

FEATURED EXCURSIONS: Raft down the “Black Pearl” & bike the Danube
For thrill-seeking tweens and teens, a guided white water rafting trip (weather permitting) down the River Ilz is simply a must. If you wish, you can also pedal along the Danube bike path with a guide.

Day 8 – Weissenkirchen (Weissenkirchen or Melk), cruising the Wachau Valley

FEATURED EXCURSION: Vineyard treasure hunt hike
Get an up-close look at Europe’s renowned vineyards on a treasure hunt led by an expert nature guide as you discover the local flora and fauna.

Day 9 – Vienna

FEATURED EXCURSIONS: A royal experience with Lipizzaner stallions and Schönbrunn Palace
Take a Segway tour through Prater Park and ride the famous Ferris wheel. Experience Vienna’s imperial side from the Spanish Riding School for the royal Lipizzaner stallions, and at the Children’s Museum for a day-in-the-life of Empress Sissi and Emperor Franz.

Day 10 – Vienna (disembark), transfer to the airport

Transfer to Vienna International Airport for your flight home, or extend your stay in Vienna.
