Day 1 – Budapest

Arrive at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, where you will be transferred to the ship.

Day 2 – Budapest, cruising the Danube River

FEATURED EXCURSION: “Hospital in the Rock”
A powerful side of Budapest’s history lies hidden deep inside the rocks under the famed Castle Hill district. Step back in time to World War II on a visit to the “Hospital in the Rock” with perfectly reconstructed scenes from the actual hospital including life-sized guards, doctors and patients made of wax.

Day 3 – Cruising the Danube River, Vienna

FEATURED EXCURSIONS: A royal experience with Lipizzaner stallions and Schönbrunn Palace
Take a Segway tour through Prater Park and ride the famous Ferris wheel. Experience Vienna’s imperial side from the Spanish Riding School for the royal Lipizzaner stallions, and at the Children’s Museum for a day-in-the-life of Empress Sissi and Emperor Franz.

Day 4 – Cruising the Wachau Valley, Spitz

Explore the flora and fauna of the UNESCO-listed Wachau Valley, one of the most beautiful areas in the world as well as a protected natural habitat. Join an expert nature guide who will guide you on a vineyard hunt for some of the treasures living within this pristine locale, such as rare orchid species, native feather grass, European green lizards and soaring falcons.

Day 5 – Engelhartszell, cruising the Danube River, Passau

FEATURED EXCURSION: Biking along the Danube
Travel from Austria to Germany by bicycling along the Danube. You’ll pedal your way through the lovely countryside, passing orchards and meadows, as well as the occasional castle, charming village or picturesque ruin. Your expert bike guide will have a surprise waiting for you somewhere along the route, too! Once in Passau, get in the spirit of Bavaria and do as the locals do by dressing up in a cute dirndl skirt and blouse dress or traditional lederhosen.

Day 6 – Cruising the Danube River, Regensburg

FEATURED EXCURSIONS: Fascination BMW or 2,000 years of history
You have two choices to experience the best of Germany. Tour the state-of-the- of-the-art BMW factory, where nearly a thousand cars a day roll off the assembly line; you’ll see skilled technicians and computer-controlled robots assemble “the ultimate driving machine.” Or join a guided walk through one of Germany’s best-preserved medieval towns with 2,000 years of history.

Day 7 – Cruising the Main-Danube Canal

FEATURED EXCURSION: The Main-Danube Canal—a marvel of modern engineering
Take a seat on the Sun Deck and watch the ship navigate through the 16 locks of the 106-mile stretch of the Main- Danube Canal as you travel through one of the modern world’s greatest engineering feats.

Day 8 – Nuremberg (disembark), transfer to Prague

The medieval walled city of Nuremberg is home to many famous events, as well as inspiring inventions, such as toys and pocket watches. You have two choices. Either visit the Toy Museum with one of the world’s largest toy collections, or be guided to some of the many reminders of WWII before transferring to Prague.

Day 9 – Prague

FEATURED EXCURSION: Fairytale “City of a Hundred Spires”
From the ramparts of Prague Castle to Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with an amazing 600-year-old astronomical clock, discover the “City of a Hundred Spires” from high above Prague’s Petrin Tower and watch the changing of the guards back at the largest ancient castle in the world.

Day 10 – Prague, transfer to the airport

Transfer to Prague Václav Havel Airport for your flight home.
