Departures available January to March and September to December New Delhi to Kolkata • 13 Days Ganges Voyager II

The trip of your dreams begins in New Delhi where 13 days of authentic and immersive encounters await you. It’s the best jumping-off point to take in the country’s top sights, such as the “Elegy in Marble,” or Taj Mahal. India’s most famous and awe-inspiring monument was commissioned by the broken-hearted Emperor Shah Jahan after the passing of his wife, and you’ll have the opportunity to dive deep into the mausoleum’s fascinating history, intricate craftsmanship and precious building materials—not once, but twice: early in the morning and at sundown. Marvel at the world’s largest sundial in Jaipur, and visit Mother Teresa’s former home and her final resting place in Kolkata.

Take an exhilarating trishaw ride through Kalna, and discover the region’s densest concentration of temples. Explore villages, monuments and mosques in Matiari and Murshidabad before an excursion in Baranagar where you’ll uncover some of the finest examples of Bengal terracotta art. Pay a visit to the colorful village of Mayapur and travel to Bandel, the city that has witnessed many different kinds of cultures and civilizations. Stroll along Chandannagar’s waterfront promenade, lined with charming colonial-era buildings that have stood the test of time, before your return to Kolkata.
