“Letters from Brno” Screening with Q&A
Karen Kruger went on a 45-year quest to delve into her family history after discovering that her mother was one of the thousands of Jewish children who escaped Nazi-controlled territories through Kindertransport rescue efforts by Great Britain. The result: a documentary film, Letters from Brno.
ABOUT KAREN KRUGER
Karen Kruger has been an educator for over 25 years, with a special passion for helping students with neurodevelopmental differences, such as dyslexia, thrive. She also served as the Director of Education for Hidden Sparks, a nonprofit that is dedicated to supporting Jewish day school educators in their understanding of how to teach all learners, particularly those who struggle.
In addition to her documentary film, she is currently in partnership with Yad Vashem to create a Holocaust curriculum for grades 6-12 based on the film and the family's archive of primary sources.
