Day 1: Lugano & Lake Como
Once you’ve cleared customs, you will be greeted by a Uniworld representative and transferred to the hotel. There you will check in, drop off your bags and, if you wish, go out and explore the city on your own. Your Uniworld local host can offer suggestions for your leisure time.
Day 2: Lugano & Lake Como
FEATURED EXCURSION: Lugano walking tour with Verzasca Valley & Ascona
Today, your local host will be waiting in your hotel lobby to guide you on a walk through beautiful Lugano. Lugano is the largest town in the holiday region of Ticino; it is situated right on the lake and surrounded by the mountains of the Prealps. Next, you’ll stop in Ascona, a lakeside paradise rich in history, art, and culture. You’ll see the Old Town and a lake promenade, which is dotted with street cafés and boasts a Latin ambiance. After a lunch break on your own, the trip continues to the Verzasca valley. Nestled in an awe-inspiring mountainscape, the Valle Verzasca is ideal for hiking, mountain biking and relaxing in nature.
Day 3: Lugano & Lake Como

From the hotel, a bus will bring you to Como in Italy. Surrounded by rolling green hills, Como is a blissfully attractive city not to be missed. Once there, you’ll board a boat for a cruise through the lake, passing by scenic villages and famous villas. During your cruise, we’ll make a stop in Bellagio, a small village at the tip of a long, hilly promontory between the two southern branches of Lake Como. An elegant and long-established resort escape, Bellagio is famous worldwide for its beautiful villas overlooking the water.
