Introduction
At Uniworld, we are dedicated to ensuring that your journey is both enjoyable and worry-free. 2. Reservations, Deposits, Final Payments & Cancellation Terms
All payments must be in Euros.

All fares are per guest in Euros based on double occupancy unless otherwise noted. Fares are capacity controlled and are subject to change at any time without notice. All applicable discounts are applied sequentially. Fixed savings amounts are deducted prior to applying any percentage-based discounts. Availability of all stateroom categories cannot be guaranteed. Additional restrictions may apply. Your entire package price will be guaranteed at time of payment.

A deposit of at least 10% of the fare, less applicable discounts, is required within 48 hours of booking. Promotional offers may specify different payment terms. Final payment is due 120 days prior to start date, unless otherwise stated. For reservations made within 120 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Please note that reservations may be cancelled if payments are not received in a timely manner.

Cancellation Policy:
We hope nothing will come between you and your Uniworld holiday. However, should you need to cancel your booking—or any portion of it—your cancellation must be submitted in writing and will become effective on the date of receipt.

Cancellation fees are assessed per person and are in addition to any penalties that may be imposed by airlines, travel advisors, or other third parties. There are no refunds for unused services or for any unused portion of your trip.

If a guest travelling as part of a booking cancels and the cancellation results in a change to the room configuration (for example, from double to single occupancy), the remaining guest is responsible for any additional costs associated with the revised room type.

Guests who do not show up for their scheduled departure for any reason are subject to a 100% cancellation penalty, applicable to all products.

This credit is non-transferable, has no cash value, and may not be used toward a deposit or insurance payment for a future booking. Only one credit per person may be applied to each booking and it is combinable with all current Uniworld promotions. Credit amount is based on the cancellation charge at 120 days or more, as shown in our Cancellation Table. Not applicable to Purchased Air or Rivers of the World.

3. Revision Fee
A fee of €50 per person, per transaction, will be charged for any revision made to the reservation unless the change increases the value of the booking. A passenger name change, and Uniworld itinerary date change will be treated as a cancellation subject to our cancellation policy, and a new reservation must be made.

Any revision to your air travel may result in the loss of a confirmed airline reservation, Uniworld change fees (refer to the Air Travel change fees section for details), increased airfare, and any charges levied by the airlines, which will be payable by the passenger.

4. Inclusions
Inclusions vary by product, itinerary, and any optional Extensions or land elements purchased. Your booking includes only those items expressly listed in the itinerary overview for each program.

Arrival and departure transfers are included when airfare is purchased through Uniworld in conjunction with your itinerary and the flights fall within the transfer guidelines detailed on our Arrivals, Departures & Transfers page.

5. Items Not Included in the Published Price
Unless specifically listed in the itinerary overview for each program, the published price does not include airfare (unless stated), airport or departure taxes, excess baggage, seat assignments, passports, visas, vaccinations, optional or additional excursions, meals or beverages not detailed in the itinerary, items not on regular menus, laundry, phone or internet charges, personal or medical expenses, travel protection plans, or any services or transfers not expressly listed. Any gratuities not included in your itinerary remain at the guest’s discretion.

6. Air Travel Terms
Air transportation purchased through Uniworld is arranged solely as an additional service under Uniworld’s governing contract. All air reservations are subject to these Terms and the applicable airline’s conditions of carriage. In the event of a conflict, these Terms shall prevail.

Regulations require us to collect your full first, middle, and last names as they appear on your passport or government-issued ID, as well as date of birth and gender. This information is required before we can book your air. Uniworld is not responsible for denied boarding or reissue costs due to an incorrect name, date of birth, or gender information supplied to Uniworld.

Airfares and flight schedules are subject to availability; early booking is recommended. Business Class service may not be available on certain flight segments within Europe, and in such cases travel may be provided in Economy Class.

7. Arrival & Departure Transfers
Guests who purchase air through Uniworld may be eligible for our complimentary group airport transfers, or for private transfers at an additional price. If air is not purchased through Uniworld, both group and private transfers may be purchased up to 45 days prior to departure. All flights must meet our transfer guidelines which can be found on our Arrivals, Departures & Transfers page.

Purchased transfers are non-refundable 29 days or fewer prior to your Uniworld start date. No refunds will be issued for transfers that are missed due to delayed or cancelled flights, or other travel delays. Guests who miss their purchased or complimentary transfer must make their own way to the ship/hotel at their own expense. Uniworld is not responsible for the cost of alternate travel arrangements due to missed transfers.

8. Itinerary Changes and Substitutions
You can count on the value of Uniworld’s experience and regional knowledge to make sure you enjoy your Uniworld itinerary even when conditions beyond our control occur. The very nature of a river, its sources, and networks of bridges and locks, means that there will be times when weather or other conditions in a region require Uniworld to make adjustments and/or modifications to an itinerary. Although every effort will be made to keep itineraries, vessels, and hotels as they are shown in the brochure, Uniworld reserves the right to substitute itineraries, hotels, or vessels. In such cases, we will do everything we can to make sure the locations visited, the excursions taken and the hotels or vessels offered are similar to the ones originally planned. Any changes to itineraries will not result in eligibility for a refund. Itineraries are subject to change without notice and may need to be altered specifically because of water levels, wind factors, or other conditions. Guests who choose to cancel or interrupt their cruise or Uniworld itinerary due to an itinerary change will be subject to our standard Cancellation Policy.

Uniworld reserves the right to cancel, advance, postpone, or modify scheduled departure, return, or itinerary dates, as well as locations, events, and schedules, and may, but is not obligated to, substitute, vary, alter, reschedule, cancel, and/or relocate any accommodations, vessels, modes of transportation, and other aspects of the holiday. Uniworld is authorized to take these actions due to causes or circumstances of any kind or nature beyond Uniworld’s control, or causes or circumstances within Uniworld’s control that Uniworld deems to make such actions appropriate. Uniworld will not be liable for cancellation, delay, rescheduling, or other adjustment or impact to a departure or itinerary, or other aspects of the holiday brought about due to force majeure or other circumstances beyond its control that prevent or interfere with any aspect of the Uniworld itinerary, also including governmental and administrative actions. The company’s only liability will be to provide Passengers the amount it has received for the Contract in the form of a Future Travel Credit or at Uniworld’s discretion a refund of monies paid to Uniworld in connection with such Uniworld itinerary. Uniworld is not responsible for other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations or changes and is not liable for any cancellation or change costs or penalties incurred on other travel arrangements, including air tickets.

If due to unexpected technical or other unforeseen circumstances, it becomes necessary to change a guest’s stateroom onboard, any change to stateroom category will result in eligibility for a refund equal to the fare difference between the category booked and the category of relocation.

9. Travel Documentation & Entry Requirements
All guests are required to travel with a machine-readable passport valid for at least six (6) months after the scheduled return date of the trip.

Documents: Provided full payment has been received on time and registration is completed, travel documents will be available to download in electronic format 21 days prior to travel from my.Uniworld.com.

It is your sole responsibility to obtain and carry all necessary visas, Electronic Travel Authorizations (ETAs), vaccination certificates, affidavits, and other documents required for entry into or exit from each country on your itinerary.

You should consult your Travel Advisor or the relevant embassy or consular offices for the latest information on passport, visa, and health requirements before travel.

Some countries impose entry or reciprocity fees, departure taxes, or exit charges payable directly to local authorities at airports or border crossings. Such fees are not included in your trip price and must be paid by you.

Where possible, you should obtain all required visas or authorizations before departure, as some countries do not issue them at the border.

We require passport details and emergency contact information for every guest prior to the release of travel documents. Failure to provide this information may delay or prevent document issuance.

Obtaining, securing, and carrying proper travel documentation is exclusively your responsibility. Uniworld shall not be liable for any denial of entry, delay, loss, damage, or missed portion of the trip arising from incomplete, inaccurate, or invalid travel documents, or from government decisions regarding your entry to or exit from a country.

Entry to any country remains subject to the discretion of the relevant government authorities, even when all documentation appears in order.

10. Additional Considerations
Baggage Fees, Baggage, and Personal Belongings: Uniworld allows one (1) suitcase, one (1) carry-on bag, and one (1) personal bag (handbag, computer case, etc.) per person onboard our ships, motorcoaches & trains. Airlines may have additional baggage restrictions and may impose additional fees for checked baggage and/or excess baggage which will be Passenger’s responsibility to pay. Additional taxes and surcharges may be collected by foreign government and non-government entities. Uniworld is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to baggage and/or personal belongings at any time.

Due to limited motorcoach capacity on guided land tours, a single bag is allowed with dimensions no more than 77.5cm (30.5in) x 56cm (22in) x 32cm (12.5in) and weight not exceeding 50 lbs. (23kg). Carry-on/hand luggage is restricted to one piece per person, not exceeding 30cm (12in) x 28cm (11in) x 14cm (6in) to fit under your coach seat or in the small overhead compartment. Carry-ons with telescopic handles and wheels will not fit in the overhead compartments or under seats and therefore, cannot be accepted as carry-on luggage. Carry-on/hand luggage handling is the responsibility of each guest and must be taken on and off the coach by you each day of the guided holiday.

Please be advised that stricter luggage allowances may be in place for other methods of transportation such as safari vehicles, flights, and cruises. Please confirm with your local sales representative or online reservation agent.

Porterage: Luggage handling of one suitcase per person, at each guided holiday hotel and porter service at airports for intra-air inclusive guided holidays, is included in the price except in Australia and New Zealand where no porter services are provided at airports.

Flights included as part of the Cruise & Tour itinerary: Should your Uniworld itinerary include one or more flights within the region visited, such flights will be in economy class.

Check-In and Check-Out Times: Standard check-in and check-out times will apply regardless of flight schedules or transfer arrangements.

  • Arrivals: On the day of embarkation, your stateroom will be ready after 3:00 PM. Guests who embark prior to 3:00 PM can wait in one of the public areas onboard. For itineraries beginning at a hotel, your room will be ready after the hotel’s standard check-in time.
  • Departures: On the day of disembarkation, you must vacate your stateroom by 8:00 AM. Guests with flights departing later in the day may wait onboard in one of the public areas until 1:00 PM or later, depending on the sailing schedule. For itineraries ending at a hotel, you must vacate your room by the hotel’s standard check-out time.

Stateroom Changes: If due to unexpected technical or other unforeseen circumstances, it becomes necessary to change a guest’s stateroom onboard, any change to stateroom category will result in eligibility for a refund equal to the fare difference between the category booked and the category of relocation.

Security: Security is a major concern to all of us and the situation globally is constantly changing. Events around the world, coupled with the “Travel Advisories” put out by various governments, may at times necessitate changes to the accommodations and itinerary or even trip cancellation. Risks are involved in travel to any country that may experience security difficulties. You must accept these risks and assume responsibility for your own travel decisions.

Wi-Fi: Complimentary internet service is provided as a courtesy on most vessels, coaches and trains. However, Uniworld does not guarantee internet availability, connectivity, or speed. Service may be unavailable or interrupted in remote areas, tunnels, locks, and under bridges. Connection speeds are significantly slower than typical home or office internet and are not suitable for video calls, streaming, or other high-bandwidth activities. Wi-Fi may not be complimentary at all hotel partners and may be an additional charge. Wi-Fi may also be unavailable in remote areas, on transfer motorcoaches, or during certain local services.

Motorcoaches: Luxury motorcoaches are equipped with air conditioning, comfortable seating, and an onboard washroom. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available on many motorcoaches in select countries; however, service is not guaranteed in all locations.

Young Travellers: Guests must be 5 years of age or older. Guests who are less than 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and booked in a cabin with someone who is 21 years of age or older.

Peru: Guests must be 7 years of age or older. Guests who are less than 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian booked in a connecting suite or booked in a cabin with someone who is 25 years of age or older.

Please note: Our Generations program departures include programs and services designed for families travelling with children. Adults accompanying children are responsible for their safety and behavior onboard and onshore.

Smoking Policy: For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is only permitted on the sun decks of our ships. Smoking is not permitted on motorcoaches and trains. This policy applies to all forms of smoking materials including vapor e-cigarettes.

Diets: Please advise the Uniworld reservation agent of specific dietary considerations and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please also indicate your needs when you complete the Passenger Information Form at uniworld.com.

Gratuities for Guided Tours: Gratuities are included for services on your guided holiday, except to your Motorcoach Driver and Travel Director (and outside of the Americas, to your Local Host and Local Specialists) whose tips/gratuities should be extended on a voluntary, individual basis at the end of your holiday. Included gratuities cover all services provided by dining-room waiters, housekeeping staff, and porters at hotels. If you have opted to prepay your gratuities on your Tour to your Travel Director and Motorcoach Driver, this will be detailed within your documentation. We offer this option on the majority of our guided tour itineraries. Please check with your local sales representative or reservation agent where this option is available.

Minimum Numbers for Guided Tours: Some land tours are based on a minimum number of persons travelling. If a trip fails to satisfy minimum numbers, the trip may be canceled or rescheduled. We will advise you at least 120 days prior to the trip’s scheduled commencement. If you do not accept the rescheduled trip, then we will pay you a full refund.

Shipboard Credit: If your Uniworld booking includes shipboard credit, your credit will be automatically applied to your onboard account. Please speak to our Front Desk for information about the services available to purchase with your Shipboard Credit. Shipboard Credit is not available for purchase, and unused portions thereof are not refundable.

Pets: Pets are not permitted on Uniworld trips.

11. Health, Fitness & Mobility
Uniworld is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and comfortable travel experience for all guests. We will make reasonable efforts, within the limits of the itinerary and destination infrastructure, to accommodate guests with disclosed medical or mobility needs. However, we cannot guarantee full accessibility in all locations.

Therefore, the following conditions apply to all River Cruises, Cruise with Land, Cruise & Tour, Cruise with Rail, and added Land Elements:

  • Medical Fitness: Guests must ensure they are medically and physically fit to travel. We may request a doctor’s assessment if there are concerns about fitness to participate.
  • Disclosure: You must advise us at the time of booking and as soon as possible thereafter of any physical, medical, or other condition that may require special accommodation.
  • Assistance & Equipment: We do not provide personal care or mobility devices (such as wheelchairs, scooters, hearing aids, or assistance with eating, dressing, or toileting). Guests requiring such assistance must travel with a capable companion.
  • Safety Measures: For the wellbeing of all travellers, we may impose reasonable health or safety requirements, including isolation or quarantine measures, and may exclude or remove any guest whose participation poses a direct health or safety risk to other guests or tour staff. Such actions do not entitle the guest to any refund or compensation.
  • Medical Services: We do not employ medical personnel. Any required medical attention will be provided by local medical providers at the guest’s expense. We are not responsible for the availability, quality, or cost of such services.
  • Accessibility: Some destinations involve uneven terrain, steps, or areas not easily accessible by wheelchair. While we will make reasonable efforts to assist, we cannot guarantee full accessibility or accommodations in all locations.

If a guest’s condition creates a direct threat to their safety or the safety of others, or materially impedes the operation of the tour program, we may decline or cancel the booking or require removal from the trip. Such determinations will be made in our sole reasonable discretion based on an assessment of each individual case and will not entitle the guest to a refund. Guests removed for health or safety reasons will be responsible for all costs associated with their removal and return home.

12. Responsibility, Liability & Assumption of Risk
Uniworld arranges and sells travel programs that include transportation, accommodations, and other services operated by independent suppliers, including cruise lines, airlines, hotels, ground operators, and local guides (“Suppliers”).

These Suppliers are not our agents, employees, or representatives, and we do not own or control them.

We make no warranties and accept no liability for any act, omission, delay, change, or default of any Supplier or third party, including but not limited to cancellations, schedule changes, rerouting, equipment failures, loss or damage to property, injury, illness, or death, regardless of cause. You agree that any claim arising from such occurrences must be made directly against the responsible Supplier and that we shall not be held liable for their acts or omissions.

All such services are subject to the individual terms and conditions of the Suppliers, including limitations on liability, conditions of carriage, and applicable international conventions and local laws.

You acknowledge that travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to natural events, political unrest, varying local standards of safety and sanitation, transportation conditions, and limited access to medical facilities.

By participating, you voluntarily accept all such risks and agree that neither Uniworld nor any of its affiliates or personnel shall be liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or expense resulting from such risks.

This release and assumption of risk applies to you and all members of your group, including minors, and binds your heirs, legal representatives, and assigns.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability under applicable laws for death or personal injury or for any other liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

We recommend that valuables (including cash, jewelry, and electronics) be kept on your person or in a secure hotel or in-room safe where available. We are not responsible for loss of valuables.

We are not responsible for errors or omissions in brochures, websites, or any other media. We reserve the right to correct such errors or omissions at any time.

13. Guest Conduct & Participation
Guests are expected to behave respectfully and to follow all instructions given by the crew, tour director, or other authorised representatives. We reserve the right to refuse embarkation (for Cruises) or remove any guest whose conduct disrupts operations, endangers others, or violates local laws. No refunds or compensation will be provided for unused services resulting from such removal, except where required by applicable law.

Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, is permitted only in designated outdoor areas on Cruise vessels and is strictly prohibited on board motorcoaches. Guests should be aware that many hotels, restaurants, trains, cruises, and other venues are entirely smoke-free in accordance with local regulations. Alcohol consumption is prohibited onboard all motorcoaches. Guests must wear their safety belt at all times when aboard a motorcoach fitted with safety belts.

The use of illegal drugs or unauthorised drones is strictly prohibited.

14. Complaints & Claims
Any complaint must be submitted in writing to Uniworld no later than 60 days after trip completion. Failure to file a complaint within this period may affect the ability to pursue a claim.

Subject to applicable laws, any Claim made under these Terms must be filed within one (1) year after trip completion.

“Claims” include include any legal action, demand for compensation, or dispute of any kind arising from your booking or participation in a Uniworld Program, including claims related to: Personal injury, illness, or death; loss, damage, or theft of property; service cancellations, delays, interruptions, or modifications; breach of these Terms or failure to provide services as described; acts or omissions by Uniworld, Suppliers, or third parties; any other matter connected to your travel arrangements.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
Notwithstanding the above, disputes arising from or relating to carriage aboard a vessel (including but not limited to personal injury, baggage, and delay claims) are governed exclusively by the Passenger Ticket Contract (Swiss law; courts of Basel).

16. Privacy & Data Protection
We collect and process personal information including identification details, contact information, booking data, and travel preferences to confirm reservations, operate your trip, and comply with legal requirements. Additional information on how we use, store, and share your data is provided in The Travel Corporation’s Privacy Policy at ttc.com/privacy-policy.

We may capture photographs, audio, or video content during the trip for use in our promotional materials. Unless you notify your Tour Director or Cruise Manager in writing before or during travel, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such content in printed and digital marketing in a manner that does not portray you in a misleading or defamatory way.

Guests who do not wish to appear in such materials may opt out at any time by providing written notice during the trip.

17. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found void, illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be removed from these Terms for the purposes of interpretation, and the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.

No waiver or modification shall be valid unless in writing and signed by an authorized representative.

YOUR CRUISE TICKET CONTRACT: Transportation aboard the vessel is provided solely pursuant to the Terms and Conditions of the Passenger Ticket Contract. A copy of the Passenger Ticket Contract will be provided with your final documentation or earlier, upon request, or can be viewed on our website at uniworld.com. Please note the Passenger Ticket Contract includes a clause specifying the courts of Basel, Switzerland as the exclusive forum for resolving disputes. The Passenger Ticket Contract is governed by the laws of Switzerland and is subject to limitations of liability and time limits for making claims under the Athens Convention Relating to the Carriage of Passengers and Their Luggage by Sea, 1974 (“Athens Convention”) and the International Convention on Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims, 1976 (“1976 Convention”). Where the terms of the Passenger Ticket Contract conflict with any applicable mandatory provision of law or international convention, including, where applicable, the Strasbourg Convention on the Limitation of Liability in Inland Navigation, 2012 (the “CLNI Convention”), the provisions of that law or convention prevail. Copies of applicable Conventions are available on request.

Coach: Where the guest occupies a motorcoach seat fitted with a safety belt, neither the Supplier nor the Operator nor its agents or co-operating organizations or service providers will be liable for any injury, illness or death or for any loss or damages or claims whatsoever arising from any accident or incident, if the safety belt is not being worn at the time of such an accident or incident. This exclusion and limitation of liability shall not be used to imply that the Operator or its agents or affiliated entities are liable in other circumstances.
