Itinerary Highlights

Golfing in Northern France

We offer two opportunities to play golf on our newly enhanced “Paris & Normandy” cruise. Golf d’Étretat is a visually spectacular links course on Normandy’s Alabaster Coast, one of France’s top-rated courses. You can also experience Mont-Saint-Aignan near Rouen, ideal for beginners and veterans alike.

River kayaking in sunny Provence

Seeing a 2,000-year-old Roman aqueduct is an amazing experience, but seeing it from the up-close perspective of a kayak while paddling along the Gardon River—that’s even better. Experience this amazingly well preserved UNESCO World Heritage site on our “Burgundy & Provence” itinerary.

Hiking through vineyards to a German castle

Guests on our “Legendary Rhine & Moselle” itinerary can hike up to Thurant Castle, a picturesque twin fortress that dates back to the Middle Ages. Meet the castle’s keeper for an “insider’s tour” highlighting the castle’s colorful history, then take in the marvelous views and hike back down to Alken village through terraced vineyards.

Pedal-powered sightseeing in Eastern Europe

Guided bike tours of Belgrade and Budapest are available on our “Highlights of Eastern Europe” itinerary, designed to showcase historic sites from WWII to the present day. Each ride is expertly led by two members of Uniworld’s 13-person bike team, which accompanies guests on 16 other itineraries as well.

The “City of Light” glows with extra magic during the holidays. Every town in France boasts a marché de Noël in December, but Paris—naturally—boasts many, each one emblematic of its neighborhood. Stroll down the Champs Élysées for your Christmas shopping this year, or visit one of the boutiques on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Walk through the Tuileries Gardens and marvel at the spectacular holiday décor of the great department stores in the city where they were invented.
