Day 1: Hanoi
Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi. If you have arranged a Uniworld arrival transfer, you will be greeted by a Uniworld representative and transferred to your luxury hotel. After check-in, you may choose to rest at the hotel or go out and explore the city. Your local host will be happy to offer suggestions, but be sure to visit the nearby Kim Lien Pagoda. The 800-year-old temple, whose name means “golden lotus,” is considered the most beautiful in Hanoi.

Day 2: Ha Long Bay, Titov Island, Tung Sau (BB, L, D)
FEATURED EXCURSION: Titov Island
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel in Hanoi, you’ll board a motorcoach that will carry you on a scenic drive to the bay, where you’ll be transferred by speed boat to board the luxurious Paradise Legacy (or similar) and begin your breathtaking cruise (note that amenities may differ from those of a Uniworld company-owned ship). Precipitous limestone pillars and isles—hundreds of them—rise out of the emerald water of the bay. Settle into your stateroom, then enjoy lunch with a matchless view as you sail among these astonishing formations, the result of eons of tides and rain. Your first stop is Titov Island, where you can either choose to hike up the mountain for a spectacular view of Ha Long Bay or swim at the beach. Make sure to bring your swimsuit!

FEATURED EXCURSION: Pearl Farm Visit or Kayaking
This afternoon, visit Ha Long Bay’s famous floating pearl farm, Tung Sau. Here, you’ll learn about the process of pearl cultivation, from breeding the oysters to harvesting the pearls, and have a chance to shop for beautiful pearl jewelry. Alternatively, embark on a kayaking expedition for an active outing in a beautiful natural environment. After, enjoy a delicious dinner and relax to some evening entertainment.

Day 3: Ha Long Bay, Tien Ong, Cua Van (BB, L, D)
FEATURED EXCURSION: Tien Ong Cave
Welcome your second day onboard Paradise Legacy (or similar) with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck as the sun rises. After breakfast, board a day trip boat to cruise by iconic sites of Ha Long Bay, including Ho Dong Tien cave, Hang Dau islet, and more. The highlight of our outing is a stop at Tien Ong Cave, a magnificent cave system filled with ancient stalactites and stalagmites. Archaeologists have found evidence of human presence in these caves dating back as far as 10,000 BCE. Following the cave visit, your day trip boat will anchor in the lagoon for a tranquil lunch.

FEATURED EXCURSION: Cua Van Fishermen’s Village
This afternoon, visit Cua Van, a village built entirely on the water. Dozens of colorful homes float in the lagoon, and most of the families here fish for a living. Discover their unique way of life during your visit and hop aboard a bamboo boat for a calming ride before returning to the Paradise Legacy.

Day 4: Ha Long Bay, Me Cung, Hanoi (BB)
FEATURED EXCURSION: Me Cung Cave
Early this morning, participate in Tai Chi on the sundeck and enjoy a light breakfast prior to your excursion.

Me Cung literally translates to “maze,” an apt descriptor for the entrancing underground world you’ll enter today, filled with meandering passages and dazzling geological formations.

After your visit, enjoy a full breakfast back onboard before checking out and transferring by speedboat to the Tuan Chau Marina. You’ll disembark and return to Hanoi, where you’ll check back into your previous hotel.
